A nocturnal creature, Aurthor's vision grows
sharp at night. Light blinds him. In resentful slumber his eyes
are closed while his ears twitch and move on a separate mission
of veiled awareness.
He grew to love the princess. Outside in
the darkness he would watch the night creature go to her door.
She would open it. He knew that it only meant she had no choice.
